WaterSafeTraining session

WATERSAFE TRAINING

What an exciting session this morning learning skills to keep ourselves safe in and around the water. The weather was a little chilly and the wet life jackets were cold to put on but lots of fun and learning took place.
Next week we look forward to our second session where we have to bring some old long pants and a long sleeved top or pyjamas to wear over our togs in the pool.
I wonder why we we need these...
Have you had water safety training this year? If so, what did you learn?

    1. Hi Aaliya, I am Whaea Dominique and Room 8 really did enjoy our water safety sessions. We are very lucky to have our own school pool but we were very worried with the water shortages that we thought it might get closed before we were able to do this. Luckily it didn't!

That is good that you guys are learning about water safety, cause who knows what would happen if no one knew what to do and what to bring on water trips like on the sea.

Great to hear from you and thanks for commenting. This water safety session was fun and I know the Room 8 students will be much better at keeping themselves safe in and around water after this. Our last session was tricky because it was quite cold and some of the kids had to get out because they were shivering so much!
